Removed methods

No entire JSON-RPC method was removed in this release within the documented public API scope.

Modified methods

  • Rawtransactions_RPCs/converttopsbt.yaml: Adds optional psbt_version (fourth argument), defaults to v2, accepts 0 or 2.
  • Rawtransactions_RPCs/createpsbt.yaml: Adds optional positional psbt_version (sixth argument): values 0 or 2, default now 2 (previous default 0).
  • Util_RPCs/estimatesmartfee.yaml: options.fee_rate_estimator accepts auto (default), block_policy or mempool_policy. The auto mode returns the lower valid estimate. options.verbosity >= 2 includes mempool_health_statistics. A successful auto result adds estimator.
  • Blockchain_RPCs/getblockchaininfo.yaml: Adds optional backgroundvalidation object during assumeutxo snapshot background validation, with snapshotheight, blocks, bestblockhash, chainwork, mediantime and verificationprogress. verificationprogress=1 and initialblockdownload=false can indicate snapshot-to-tip sync while validation still runs in the background.
  • Blockchain_RPCs/getdeploymentinfo.yaml: Removes result.deployments.taproot. Consumers should treat Taproot as always active or check TAPROOT in result.script_flags.
  • Blockchain_RPCs/getmempoolancestors.yaml: The bip125-replaceable response field is omitted by default; available only with -deprecatedrpc=bip125.
  • Blockchain_RPCs/getmempooldescendants.yaml: The bip125-replaceable response field is omitted by default; available only with -deprecatedrpc=bip125.
  • Blockchain_RPCs/getmempoolentry.yaml: Adds vsize_adjusted (policy/sigop-adjusted) and vsize_bip141 (raw BIP141 virtual size). Legacy vsize is deprecated and represents adjusted size. The bip125-replaceable field is omitted by default.
  • Blockchain_RPCs/getmempoolinfo.yaml: fullrbf is no longer returned by default. It is only present when the node is started with -deprecatedrpc=fullrbf.
  • Network_RPCs/getnetworkinfo.yaml: Adds optional asmap_version when -asmap is used. Exposes transaction-relay statistics via tx_send_rate and inv_buckets.
  • Network_RPCs/getpeerinfo.yaml: Removes deprecated startingheight field; -deprecatedrpc=startingheight option no longer exists.
  • Blockchain_RPCs/getrawmempool.yaml: Adds vsize_adjusted and vsize_bip141. Legacy vsize is deprecated and represents adjusted size. The bip125-replaceable field is omitted by default.
  • Rawtransactions_RPCs/getrawtransaction.yaml: Verbose result adds optional vsize_adjusted for transactions currently in the mempool. This is sigop-adjusted vsize, distinct from BIP141 vsize.
  • Rawtransactions_RPCs/sendrawtransaction.yaml: For rejected non-standard inputs, error.message provides additional explanation while the rejection reason bad-txns-nonstandard-inputs remains unchanged.
  • Rawtransactions_RPCs/submitpackage.yaml: Per-transaction results add vsize_adjusted and vsize_bip141. Legacy vsize is deprecated. Error details for non-standard inputs are more informative; rejection code remains unchanged.
  • Rawtransactions_RPCs/testmempoolaccept.yaml: Each result can now include vsize_adjusted and vsize_bip141. Legacy vsize is deprecated. Non-standard input rejections include additional debug details without changing bad-txns-nonstandard-inputs.

RPC availability and operational considerations

  • bip125-replaceable on mempool RPCs is returned only with -deprecatedrpc=bip125.
  • getmempoolinfo.fullrbf is available only with -deprecatedrpc=fullrbf.
  • backgroundvalidation is available only when assumeutxo snapshot background validation is active.
  • asmap_version is returned only when -asmap is in use.
  • Transaction submission methods should have appropriate rate limiting and request validation.
  • RPC schemas are based on upstream release notes and publicly documented compatible RPC argument contracts. Actual endpoint behavior should be verified against Groestlcoin Core 32.1.0.
