Stellar (XLM) API Documentation

Stellar

Stellar (XLM) is a payments and asset Layer 1 using the Stellar Consensus Protocol, a federated Byzantine agreement system, with Protocol 20 enabling Soroban smart contracts on mainnet in February 2024. Native operations and Rust-based Soroban contracts update an account- and ledger-entry-based state model, while Stellar Core nodes replicate accounts, balances, offers, contract data, and validated ledgers. This shared ledger model lets payment, asset, and smart contract applications use the same transaction, operation, account, and ledger primitives across the Stellar network.

Stellar API Methods and Endpoints

NOWNodes exposes Stellar's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: its Horizon API for reading ledger state and broadcasting transactions.

Browse the interfaces below for endpoint details, request parameters, response formats, and integration examples. Create an API key, select Mainnet or Testnet, choose the required interface, and start sending requests from your application.

Weighing Stellar RPC providers against each other? Read the comparison guide on our blog — this page stays focused on integration reference.
