Get key →Ontology (ONT) is a smart contract Layer 1 using Verifiable Byzantine Fault Tolerance, with its mainnet launched on June 30, 2018 and support for multiple virtual-machine environments. Contracts can execute through NeoVM, WasmVM, and an EVM-compatible environment, while full nodes validate transactions and maintain account-based balances, contract storage, blocks, and protocol state. This multi-VM architecture lets applications combine Ontology-native functionality with Ethereum-compatible execution, so both native and EVM transaction models matter at the integration layer.
NOWNodes exposes Ontology's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: JSON-RPC for reading chain state and broadcasting transactions. Archive mode extends any of these to historical states and data beyond standard retention.
Browse the interfaces below for endpoint details, request parameters, response formats, and integration examples. Create an API key, select Mainnet or Testnet, choose the required interface, and start sending requests from your application.
