Bitcoin Cash

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is a peer-to-peer payments blockchain secured by SHA-256 proof of work, and its May 15, 2023 network upgrade introduced native CashTokens functionality. Transactions use Bitcoin-style locking and unlocking scripts and consume UTXOs, while full nodes validate blocks and transactions and maintain the spendable-output set together with token-related state encoded in outputs. Because it retains Bitcoin’s UTXO transaction model, Bitcoin Cash exposes familiar block, transaction, output, and mempool primitives alongside protocol-specific extensions such as CashTokens.

Bitcoin Cash API Methods and Endpoints

NOWNodes exposes Bitcoin Cash's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: JSON-RPC for reading chain state and broadcasting transactions, WSS (WebSocket) for real-time subscriptions and events, and Blockbook for indexed address, balance, transaction, and block lookups. Archive mode extends any of these to historical states and data beyond standard retention.
