XRP Ledger
XRP Ledger (XRP) is an account-based Layer 1 for payments and tokenized assets using the XRP Ledger Consensus Protocol rather than proof of work or proof of stake. Validators agree on validated ledger versions containing accounts, balances, trust lines, offers, settings, and transaction results, while full nodes process transactions and maintain current ledger state and optional historical data. This ledger-object model makes accounts, transactions, trust lines, order-book entries, and validated-ledger identifiers the shared primitives for XRPL applications.
