Axelar
Axelar (AXL) is a proof-of-stake interoperability Layer 1 built with the Cosmos SDK, with General Message Passing providing programmable communication between connected chains. Its core network logic is implemented through Cosmos SDK modules and CosmWasm contracts, while full nodes execute transactions and maintain account-based chain state, validator data, and cross-chain routing records. Because Axelar uses Cosmos infrastructure while coordinating messages across heterogeneous networks, its state and transaction model connects standard Cosmos primitives with cross-chain application workflows.
