Linea
Linea (LINEA) is an Ethereum Layer 2 zkEVM that executes EVM transactions off-chain and uses zero-knowledge proofs to verify state transitions before settlement on Ethereum. Solidity and other EVM languages compile to EVM bytecode, while Linea nodes execute transactions and maintain Ethereum-style accounts, contract storage, blocks, receipts, and logs. Because Linea preserves EVM semantics and Ethereum data structures, standard Ethereum tooling and JSON-RPC conventions remain the baseline for applications targeting Linea and other EVM networks.
