Cosmos (ATOM) API Documentation

Cosmos

Cosmos Hub (ATOM) is a proof-of-stake Layer 1 built with the Cosmos SDK and CometBFT, and it was the first blockchain to use the Cosmos SDK in production. Its application logic runs as native Cosmos SDK modules rather than through a required general-purpose VM, while full nodes execute transactions and maintain account, staking, governance, IBC, and other module state in key-value stores. This modular SDK and CometBFT architecture is reused across many independent chains, making Cosmos transaction, consensus, and IBC conventions a shared interchain baseline.

Cosmos API Methods and Endpoints

NOWNodes exposes Cosmos's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: JSON-RPC for reading chain state and broadcasting transactions, and WSS (WebSocket) for real-time subscriptions and events.

Browse the interfaces below for endpoint details, request parameters, response formats, and integration examples. Create an API key, select Mainnet or Testnet, choose the required interface, and start sending requests from your application.

Weighing Cosmos RPC providers against each other? Read the comparison guide on our blog — this page stays focused on integration reference.
