Babylon
Babylon Genesis (BABY) is a Cosmos SDK Layer 1 secured by CometBFT consensus and designed as the coordination layer for Bitcoin staking, with dedicated BTC Light Client, BTC Staking, Finality, and Checkpointing modules. CosmWasm contracts execute in a Rust-based environment, while full nodes maintain account-based Cosmos state and verify blocks, staking records, checkpoints, and Bitcoin-linked protocol data. This combination makes familiar Cosmos transaction and state conventions the interface to a system that also reasons about Bitcoin staking and finality.
