Berachain (BERA) is an EVM-identical Layer 1 using CometBFT consensus through BeaconKit, with Proof of Liquidity coordinating validator incentives; the Fusaka upgrade activated on mainnet on June 24, 2026. Solidity contracts execute in an Ethereum-compatible environment, while nodes maintain account-based EVM state, contract storage, blocks, receipts, and consensus data. This EVM-identical execution model preserves Ethereum transaction and state semantics, making familiar EVM tooling and JSON-RPC conventions the baseline for applications interacting with Berachain.

Berachain API Methods and Endpoints

NOWNodes exposes Berachain's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: JSON-RPC for reading chain state and broadcasting transactions, and WSS (WebSocket) for real-time subscriptions and events.
