Algorand (ALGO) API Documentation

Algorand

Algorand (ALGO) is a Layer 1 smart contract network secured by Pure Proof of Stake, using verifiable random functions to select block proposers and voting committees. Smart contracts execute in the Algorand Virtual Machine and can be authored in Algorand Python or TypeScript, while nodes maintain account, asset, application, and ledger state and archiver nodes retain the full blockchain. This account-based AVM model gives applications a protocol-native interface for querying accounts, assets, applications, blocks, and transaction state.

Algorand API Methods and Endpoints

NOWNodes exposes Algorand's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: its native algod API for reading chain state and broadcasting transactions, and the Indexer API for indexed account, asset, application, transaction, and block lookups. Archive access is available through the Indexer interface.

Browse the interfaces below for endpoint details, request parameters, response formats, and integration examples. Create an API key, select Mainnet or Testnet, choose the required interface, and start sending requests from your application.
