Ethereum

Ethereum (ETH) is a Layer 1 smart contract platform finalized by proof-of-stake validators since the Merge on September 15, 2022. Contracts are commonly written in Solidity or Vyper and compiled to EVM bytecode, while execution clients re-execute transactions and maintain the account-based global state, contract storage, receipts, and blocks. That EVM execution plus account model is replicated across many Layer 1 and Layer 2 networks, making Ethereum’s JSON-RPC semantics a shared baseline across the wider EVM ecosystem.

Ethereum API Methods and Endpoints

NOWNodes exposes Ethereum's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: JSON-RPC for reading chain state and broadcasting transactions, WSS (WebSocket) for real-time subscriptions and events, Blockbook for indexed address, balance, transaction, and block lookups, and Trace/Debug for step-level execution analysis. Archive mode extends any of these to historical states and data beyond standard retention.
