Bitcoin Gold (BTG) API Documentation

Bitcoin Gold

Bitcoin Gold (BTG) is a Bitcoin-derived payments blockchain secured by proof of work, using the Equihash-BTG 144,5 algorithm introduced at mainnet block height 536200. Transactions retain Bitcoin’s Script and UTXO model, so full nodes validate blocks and spends, store blockchain data, and maintain the set of unspent outputs required to verify new transactions. Because Bitcoin Gold preserves Bitcoin-style transaction structures while changing the mining algorithm, its application interface remains centered on familiar blocks, transactions, addresses, UTXOs, and mempool data.

Bitcoin Gold API Methods and Endpoints

NOWNodes exposes Bitcoin Gold's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: JSON-RPC for reading chain state and broadcasting transactions, and Blockbook for indexed address, balance, transaction, and block lookups. Archive mode extends any of these to historical states and data beyond standard retention.

Browse the interfaces below for endpoint details, request parameters, response formats, and integration examples. Create an API key, select Mainnet or Testnet, choose the required interface, and start sending requests from your application.
