BNB Smart Chain (BSC) API Documentation

BNB Smart Chain

BNB Smart Chain (BSC) is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 secured by Proof of Staked Authority through the Parlia consensus protocol; the Fermi upgrade activated on mainnet in January 2026 and reduced the target block interval to 0.45 seconds. Solidity contracts compile to EVM bytecode, while full nodes execute transactions and maintain Ethereum-style account balances, contract storage, blocks, receipts, and logs. This EVM execution and account model preserves Ethereum transaction formats and tooling, making JSON-RPC the common application-facing interface.

BNB Smart Chain API Methods and Endpoints

NOWNodes exposes BNB Smart Chain's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: JSON-RPC for reading chain state and broadcasting transactions, WSS (WebSocket) for real-time subscriptions and events, Blockbook for indexed address, balance, transaction, and block lookups, and Trace/Debug for step-level execution analysis. Archive mode extends any of these to historical states and data beyond standard retention.

Browse the interfaces below for endpoint details, request parameters, response formats, and integration examples. Create an API key, select Mainnet or Testnet, choose the required interface, and start sending requests from your application.
