IOTA
IOTA (IOTA) is a delegated-proof-of-stake Layer 1 using Starfish consensus, with the Rebased mainnet and MoveVM going live on May 5, 2025. Smart contracts are written in Move and operate over an object-based ledger, while full nodes execute transactions and track owned and shared objects, checkpoints, validator state, and resulting ledger state. This object-centric Move model is closely related to other Move-based systems, making objects, transactions, checkpoints, and modules the primary primitives exposed to applications.
