zkSync (ZKSYNC) API Documentation

zkSync

zkSync (ZK) is an Ethereum Layer 2 zero-knowledge rollup built with the ZK Stack; zkSync Era was the first ZK Stack chain and the first member of the Elastic Network. Solidity and Vyper contracts execute through EraVM or its EVM bytecode interpreter against account-based state, while nodes process Layer 2 blocks and batches and track contract storage, transactions, and state diffs. This Ethereum-compatible execution model lets applications reuse familiar tooling and JSON-RPC conventions while validity proofs secure state transitions on Ethereum.

zkSync API Methods and Endpoints

NOWNodes exposes zkSync's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: JSON-RPC for reading chain state and broadcasting transactions, and WSS (WebSocket) for real-time subscriptions and events. Archive mode extends any of these to historical states and data beyond standard retention.

Browse the interfaces below for endpoint details, request parameters, response formats, and integration examples. Create an API key, select Mainnet or Testnet, choose the required interface, and start sending requests from your application.

Weighing zkSync RPC providers against each other? Read the comparison guide on our blog — this page stays focused on integration reference.
