Get key →Kusama (KSM) is a Substrate-based relay chain secured by nominated proof of stake, using BABE for block production and GRANDPA for deterministic finality, and serves as Polkadot’s canary network. Runtime logic is compiled to WebAssembly, while validators execute extrinsics and full nodes maintain account, staking, governance, runtime, and relay-chain state in Substrate storage. Because Kusama shares Substrate, BABE, GRANDPA, and relay-chain conventions with Polkadot, its state and transaction model maps closely to the broader Polkadot ecosystem.
NOWNodes exposes Kusama's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: JSON-RPC for reading chain state and broadcasting transactions, and WSS (WebSocket) for real-time subscriptions and events.
Browse the interfaces below for endpoint details, request parameters, response formats, and integration examples. Create an API key, select Mainnet or Testnet, choose the required interface, and start sending requests from your application.
