Celo
Celo (CELO) is an EVM-compatible Ethereum Layer 2 built on the OP Stack, using sequencer-based ordering and Ethereum finality after completing its L2 mainnet transition in March 2025. Solidity contracts execute through op-geth against Ethereum-style account and storage state, while a Celo node combines an execution client, op-node rollup client, and EigenDA data-availability integration. This OP Stack and EVM architecture preserves Ethereum transaction, contract, and state semantics, making standard EVM interfaces applicable to Celo applications.
