Get key →Cardano (ADA) is a Layer 1 blockchain secured by the Ouroboros proof-of-stake protocol, with the Alonzo era adding support for Plutus smart contracts and the Extended UTXO execution model. Plutus contracts operate against EUTXOs containing values, scripts, and datum data, while full nodes validate blocks and maintain the ledger’s current set of transaction outputs and protocol state. This EUTXO architecture differs from account-based EVM chains, making transaction outputs, scripts, assets, and ledger state the main primitives exposed to applications.
NOWNodes exposes Cardano's interface, plus a few others, depending on what your integration needs: WSS (WebSocket) for real-time subscriptions and events. Archive mode extends any of these to historical states and data beyond standard retention.
Browse the interfaces below for endpoint details, request parameters, response formats, and integration examples. Create an API key, select Mainnet or Testnet, choose the required interface, and start sending requests from your application.
