NOWNodes API key passed in the api-key header.

Returns the fork configuration of the chain: which rule set is active now, which one comes next, and which one is last on the schedule.

Added in the ELEMONT network upgrade of 29 August 2026.

This is the method to poll around the 2026-08-29 10:00 UTC ELEMONT upgrade. Because the EVM forks stage sequentially over five consecutive epoch seals (~17 hours), current will advance several times during the window and next will be non-null until the last fork lands.

VinuChain forks by block height, not by timestamp, so the response carries activationBlock as a VinuChain extension. activationTime is only knowable once the activation block exists and is 0 for future forks.

Also exposed under the mirrored vc namespace as vc_config.
